HADAS TAL / New Paintings June 15 - July 30th

The Wall Gallery is honored to show Hadas Tal's newest work June 15th - July 30th. Rich and painterly, Hadas' oil paintings are of people, buildings, dogs, shoes. But whatever the subject, according to Hadas, "They are all portraits, even of buildings." Hadas is listed as one of the Top Ten Artists to Watch in 2012 by California Home & Design Magazine. She was also chosen to participate in the Young Generation Matter Show at the De Young Museum in San Francisco April 2012. Hadas currently lives and works in Emeryville, CA. Please come and meet Hadas at her debut at the Wall Gallery this coming first friday. The show will coincide with the Oakland Art Murmur's upcoming first friday this JULY 6th from 5:00 - 9:30 and will continue now through to the 30th of July. JENNY ROBINSON / LARGE MONOPRINTS EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 10th!!!

JENNY ROBINSON'S Prints WILL HAVE AN EXTENDED SHOWING THROUGH JUNE 10th! As an artist who works primarily on paper, Printmaking is the perfect vehicle for Jenny to explore these themes of atmosphere and corrosion. The Monoprint process enables her to create images that are drenched with ink. She uses deeply saturated colors and textures not only to reveal the surfaces of the structures but also to permeate the emptiness around them. The physical nature of, and energy involved in making large format Monoprints imbues the work with the frank monumentality of it's subject matter. Jenny's show will coincide with the Oakland Art Murmur's first friday this JUNE 1st from 5:30 - 9:30. JOHN HERSEY / NEW Paintings Fri. Feb 3rd - March 2nd

For the month of February John Hersey will be showing his portrait series. The arrow painting

has an additional layer of blue arrows this month. At a certain point it went from the painting to

the people themselves.

John Hersey will be showing his paintings and prints starting this Friday Jan 6th. The show will be up through Feb 3rd. John is a pioneer in the digital art world. For this show he will be going analog with handpainted watercolors, paintings, prints and mixed media. ANDREW MARCUS / Paintings Through Nov. 4th

My work, DISAPPEARANCE, is a transdisciplinary inquiry into dilemmas of being in time and space. In my paintings, such dilemmas play out as dramatic interactions, to be completed by a viewer’s conscious engagement. Paint and planar limits combine as the object of mediation. My erotic gesture, to play temporally with the moment or spatially at the edge of form as it arises and dissolves, may be framed as a question:  By what means does beauty attain primacy of place in the world?
