STEVE LOMPREY / INDUSTRIAL ABSTRACTION / Nov. 2nd thru Dec. 7th
STEVE LOMPREY will be showing his new painting series: INDUSTRIAL ABSTRACTION starting on November 2 thru December the 7th. His new working process has emerged as a result of exploring the interaction of non-compatible paint media. The creation and destruction of multiple layers and the subsequent excavation of these layers serves as a method of achieving a semi-intentional field of color and mark making. The paintings appear almost as a result of exposure to heavy machinery or industrial processes. The show will coincide with the Oakland Art Murmur's upcoming first friday this November 2nd from 6:00 - 9:00 and will continue now through to the 7th of December. Hope to see you there!
